The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars; so that one third of them would be darkened, and the day wouldn’t shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.

[12] When the fourth angel sounded, cosmic powers shuddered. One-third of the sun's light dimmed, one-third of the moon's glow faded, and one-third of the stars went dark. Day and night were disrupted as creation itself testified to its Creator's power and humanity's need for repentance.
