so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Keep your giving between you and God alone. Your Father, who sees what you do in secret with a pure heart, will personally reward your genuine compassion.

that thy kindness may be in secret, and thy Father who is seeing in secret Himself shall reward thee manifestly.
