Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.

When Jesus heard that John the Baptist had been arrested by Herod, He recognized this as the signal to begin His own public ministry. He withdrew to Galilee, knowing the time had come to proclaim His message openly.
