Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to depart from them, because great fear had taken hold of them. So He got into the boat and started back.

All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. He entered into the boat, and returned.

But this display of supernatural power terrified the local people. They begged Jesus to leave, choosing the familiar comfort of their old lives over His transformative presence. So he left them and began boarding a boat to return to the other side.

And the whole multitude of the region of the Gadarenes round about asked him to go away from them, because with great fear they were pressed, and he having entered into the boat, did turn back.
