Then Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. As was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath. And when He stood up to read,

Jesus returned to Nazareth, the town where He had grown up. And following His lifelong custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath. When He stood up to read from the Scriptures, all eyes were fixed upon Him.
