The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

(25) So the other disciples were saying to him, "We saw The אָדוֹן Adonai!" But he said to them, "If not seeing in His hands, the nails imprint, putting my finger into the nails imprint and putting my hand into His side, I won't believe!"

[25] When the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" he declared, "Unless I see the nail marks in His hands, put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." His skepticism would serve future generations of doubters.

the other disciples, therefore, said to him, ‘We have seen the Lord;’ and he said to them, ‘If I may not see in his hands the mark of the nails, and may put my finger to the mark of the nails, and may put my hand to his side, I will not believe.’
