and asked for letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

The F.O.G
[2] He demanded official letters of authorization to the synagogues in Damascus, seeking permission to arrest anyone—man or woman—who followed the Way of the Messiah. His plan was to drag them back to Jerusalem in chains, where they would face harsh judgment.
