Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and began his defense:

(1) Now Agrippa (Causing Pain at Birth) said to Paul (Little), "You're permitted to speak for yourself." Then Paul extended his hand to defend himself.

[1] Agrippa, intrigued by this controversial prisoner, turned to Paul and said with royal authority, "You have permission to speak for yourself." Paul, raising his chained hands in a gesture that spoke volumes about his circumstances, began his defense.

And Agrippa said unto Paul, ‘It is permitted to thee to speak for thyself;’ then Paul having stretched forth the hand, was making a defence:
