Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

(2) Now when Paul (Little) and Bar-Nabba (Son of Encouragement) had not a little riotous debate with them, they determined that Paul, Bar-Nabba and some others from them should go to Yerushalayim (Foundation of Peace) to the emissaries and elders about this issue.

The debate grew so heated that the church appointed Paul, Barnabas, and several others to travel to Jerusalem, seeking wisdom from the apostles and elders on this fundamental question of faith and identity.
