When they had appointed elders for them in every assembly, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.

[23] Paul and Barnabas appointed elders in each church, choosing proven leaders through a process of prayer and fasting. They entrusted these new communities to the Lord's care, confident in His faithfulness to those who believed in Him.
