The angel said to him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him, “Put on your cloak, and follow me.”

(8) Now the messenger-angel said to him, "Get ready and tie your sandals" and he did so. And he says to him, "Put on your garments and follow me."

[8] The angel gave practical instructions: "Get dressed and put on your sandals." Peter obeyed. "Wrap your cloak around you and follow me." God's deliverance often requires our cooperation.

The messenger also said to him, ‘Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals;’ and he did so; and he saith to him, ‘Put thy garment round and be following me;’
