My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.

[1] My precious children in the faith, I'm writing these words with a father's tender heart to help you avoid sin's destructive path. But if anyone does stumble and sin, remember we have a powerful Advocate who pleads our case before the Father - Jesus the Messiah, the perfectly Righteous One! I am writing to you as my children so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Intercessory Helper who pleads our case before the Abba Father—Jesus, the Anointed Messiah, the Righteous One.
